From stunning cliffs to sandy beaches, southwest Ibiza is a coastal wonderland, the variety of landscape offering an equal variety of outdoor activities. From hiking and horseback riding to snorkeling and boating there are infinite choices for those who wish to enjoy an active vacation by and in the sea. Some of the most iconic beaches on the island, including Cala Bassa, Cala Conta, Cala Jondal and Cala d’Hort, are located on this southwest coast. Charming villages with outstanding restaurants make shopping and dining equally enticing.

Monday

Begin your week exploring the charming town of San Agustín with its iconic white church and village square surrounded by “casas payesas” (traditional Ibiza houses). At night enjoy dinner at Can Berri Vell, which is located in a 17th century “Ibicenco” house in the center of town. Serving local products and cuisine such as lamb, octopus, squid and sobrassada (local charcuterie) and offering an extensive wine list, this is a great way to end your first day.

Tuesday

Head to Cala Tarida, one of the many beaches on the coast, where you can sunbathe on the shore in between dips in the sea. After a relaxing day of sun and sea, retire to the Cotton Beach Club where you can enjoy an aperitif on the rooftop terrace before a dinner featuring local seafood specialties and sushi.

Wednesday

Devote Wednesday to exploring “Atlantis” in Es Vedra. Though it isn’t the mythical city itself it is a stunning rock formation with a “secret” cove showcasing brilliant turquoise water. You can get there by either parking and following a rocky trail (which is somewhat difficult and takes about half an hour) or by boat (which is much easier). Either way you will be rewarded with stunning views and crystal clear water. This is a great place for diving. That night head to Ses Boques in the town of Es Cubells where you can try one of their famous paellas.

Thursday

Head to Cala Bassa where you can get a massage on the beach, swim or snorkel in the clear turquoise waters or rent a jet ski for a more adrenaline-fueled adventure. The Cala Bassa Beach Club is conveniently located right on the beach so you can pick up a drink, a snack or a full meal without ever leaving the beautiful beach and water.

Friday

Make Friday the day you visit Cala Conta, considered by many to be the best beach on the island. For dinner head to Sunset Ashram where you can choose from a wide variety of dishes such as hamachi, ceviche, and various seafood as well as Asian dishes while watching the spectacular sunset.

Saturday

Be sure to visit the outdoor market in San Jose where you can find local produce and art such as ceramics or traditional toys. With many small shops, this village is a good place to pass the day. For your final evening head to Es Torrent restaurant on Es Torrent beach where you can savor traditional Ibizan fish stew and salted sea bream among other seafood specialties.
